DNR’s RR Program Seeks Vapor Intrusion Expert In Southeast Region

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR)’s Remediation and Redevelopment (RR) Program is recruiting a Vapor Intrusion Specialist in the DNR’s Southeast Region.

This position will serve as the RR Program’s regional coordinator for assessment of vapor intrusion of volatile compounds, mitigation and development of statewide policy related to vapor intrusion. This person will develop and interpret administrative rules, guidance documents and technical documents related to the assessment, mitigation and remediation of vapor phase contamination.

This position reports to the Complex Projects and Technical Resources Section Chief and will be located in the DNR’s Milwaukee office. The deadline to apply for this position is Jan. 2, 2022.

DNR’s RR Program Hiring South Central Region Program Supervisor

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is hiring a Regional Program Supervisor within the Remediation and Redevelopment (RR) Program.

This position is located in the South Central Region office, located at the DNR’s Fitchburg Service Station. The deadline to apply is July 19, 2021.

This person hired for this position will administer and manage the RR Program in the South Central Region. Duties will include developing specific work plans with detailed goals and objectives for program staff, monitoring and enforcing compliance with relevant statutes and other policies and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support program objectives. The person hired for this position will also supervise a team of permanent staff and limited term employment (LTE) staff within the program.

DNR Seeks to Fill Stormwater Engineer Position

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is recruiting a stormwater engineer to focus on large scale energy projects.

The qualified candidate for this advanced position could work in most statewide DNR offices. The deadline to apply for this position is March 7, 2021.

The projects this candidate would oversee are often miles-long pipelines or transmission lines, or the projects may have innovative designs for wind or solar farms. It is a priority that the DNR ensures water quality protections through the stormwater permitting process for these large, critical infrastructure projects.

RR Program Seeks Spill Coordinators for Northern and Southeast Regions

The Wisconsin DNR’s Remediation and Redevelopment (RR) program is hiring two  Regional Spill Coordinators. A position description is available here.

One position will be stationed in Milwaukee in the Southeast Region. The other will be stationed in the Northern Region, in one of several location options including Rhinelander, Ashland, Antigo and Spooner.

Please note that DNR staff are teleworking during the current phase of the state employee Bounce Back Plan. These positions will report to their prescribed Regional Offices with a return to normal business operations.

The deadline to apply for either Spill Coordinator position is September 21, 2020.

Employment Opportunities: Regional Spills Coordinator and Complex Sites Project Manger

The Wisconsin DNR’s Remediation and Redevelopment (RR) program is hiring a Regional Spills Coordinator and a Complex Sites Project Manager.

Both positions will be stationed in Dane County – the Regional Spills Coordinator at the Fitchburg DNR office, and the Complex Sites Project Manager at the downtown Madison DNR office. Note that DNR staff are teleworking during the current phase of the state employee Bounce Back Plan. These positions will report to the Fitchburg and Madison offices, respectively, with return to normal operations.

The deadline to apply for the Spills Coordinator position is August 18, 2020. The application deadline for the Complex Sites position is August 31, 2020.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources seeks a well-qualified candidate to fill a State Projects Manager (Hydrogeologist Program Coordinator) position in the Division of Environmental Management. This position will be stationed in the DNR’s Madison office, located at 101 S. Webster Street.

RR Program Seeks Program & Policy Coordinator

The Wisconsin DNR is hiring a Program & Policy Coordinator within the Remediation and Redevelopment Program. The position will be located in the downtown Madison, Wis. office.

The deadline to apply is January 19, 2020.

The Program & Policy Coordinator will coordinate the work of multi-disciplinary teams to develop program planning, policy and procedures related to complex scientific and policy issues. This person will be responsible, within the direction of the management team, for setting goals, objectives and strategies, and implementation of policy initiatives.
