The Remediation and Redevelopment (RR) Program’s Submittal Portal will be taken offline beginning Friday, January 3, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. until Tuesday, January 7 at 9:00 a.m. as the RR Program works to launch a new version of the application.
A new URL for the updated application will be made available on the RR Program Submittal Portal webpage when the application relaunches on January 7. Be sure to access the new application directly through the submittal portal webpage.
The Submittal Portal will have a new look, and the Document Uploader, the document submittal form within the portal, will have a number of improvements based on user feedback that Program staff have received since the original application was launched more than a year ago. We appreciate the constructive feedback and hope you keep providing it so we can continue to improve the application.
Some improvements you will see on January 7 include:
- The Activity Name will be shown to confirm that the BRRTS number was typed correctly
- The ability to include other RR Program contact names, including other Program staff you work with that are not listed in the form
- The ability to include more than one document for certain types of submittals
- The option to not include a BRRTS number when using “Other” document type for submittals (such as No Action Required)
The submittal portal allows consultants and other customers to submit documents required by Wis. Admin. Code chs. NR 700-754 related to the assessment, investigation, cleanup, closure or redevelopment of contaminated properties.
The directions for accessing the submittal portal using your Web Access Management System (WAMS) account has not changed. If you are a new user, please read the directions for getting a WAMS user name and password. If you were previously granted access to the document uploader in the current version of the submittal portal, you will not need to submit a new request for access.
The directions for using the updated submittal portal will also change. For directions on using the new application, please see the Submittal Portal webpage beginning on the morning of January 7 at 9:00 a.m.
As a reminder, document submittal requirements are listed in Wis. Admin. Code § NR 700.11 (3g), as well as throughout Wis. Admin. Code chs. NR 700 ‐ 754 for specific situations. Responsible parties, or their representative, must provide DNR with one paper copy and one electronic copy of all submitted documents, including those related to case closure requests. The electronic file must be an exact duplicate of the paper document. Any electronic file may not be “locked” or password protected per Wis. Admin. Code § NR 700.11 (3g).
Directions and more information about the application can be found on the RR Program Submittal Portal webpage and in the RR Program Guidance for Submitting Documents (RR-690).
If you have questions or comments about the Submittal Portal contact Sonya Rowe. Site specific questions should be directed to your Project Manager or Environmental Program Associate.
