The Remediation and Redevelopment Program will host an online meeting of the Contaminated Sediments External Advisory Group (EAG) on Tuesday, November 17th from 3:00 to 5:00.
This is an opportunity to provide feedback on proposed rules for calculating financial assurance when engineering controls are used to address contaminated sediment left in place.
The program is also seeking input on how and when the factors in NR 756.07(1)(c)(3) may be considered in estimating costs of financial assurance. These factors may include:
- bioaccumulative elements and substances
- volumes
- degree of contamination
- cap complexity
- hydrologic and hydraulic characteristics
- types of waterway
- safety
- dissolved phase contaminants and chemical characteristics
- fish advisories
- navigation
- drinking water sources
