The Wisconsin DNR seeks to hire an Emerging Contaminants Technical Operations Director within the Environmental Management (EM) Division. The position will be located in the downtown Madison office.

The qualified applicant for this position will develop administrative, technical and program-specific policies; provide cross-program coordination of technical personnel efforts; assist with the development of programmatic budgets; and coordinate the funding related to emerging contaminants (e.g. per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances – PFAS).
In addition, the qualified candidate will be responsible for providing professional-level recommendations on the technical aspects of policy and implementation recommendations to the EM Division Policy Director, Division Administrator and Secretary’s Office on complex issues. Overall, the qualified candidate for this position will ensure the successful day-to-day business operations of the Office of Emerging Contaminants and the inter-program efforts to address emerging contaminants, such as PFAS, around the state.
